These differences can occur due to regulations, client-specific requirements, geographical situations, and others. When developing your library, a code must be tested and maintained when upgrades occur. In addition, organizations with more than one physical location or site have their own library standards. As a result, with specific requirements from a local establishment, there is always the chance of uncontrolled growth of libraries. Startup of a Library
We believe that a great client-specific library needs to be organized and designed as a project. That is why we create a technical design for our clients based on a Functional Design Specification (FDS). After that, we submit the design for final approval.
After the approval, we design a project model with all the specific library elements, taking the factory acceptance test (FAT) into consideration. After the preparations, the project will be assigned to a dedicated virtual machine. The virtual machine will implement modifications and version upgrades and maintain maintenance. We will repeat the procedure depending on a modification’s magnitude.
Management and Maintenance
We set up a portal for you with every principal to which the necessary functions are assigned. With CoNet’s assistance, the portal enables the principals to perform management and maintenance actions. It includes managing licenses, versions, modifications, and support.
We can set up secondary portals for different locations or sites if required.
Process Safety
We have excellent knowledge of Integrated Process Safety. Therefore, we usually offer advice and guidance, especially regarding the layout and components. As part of the process, we also offer Risk Assessments & Evaluations (RI&E’s).
Process safety provides multiple benefits, for instance, a uniform interface that operators are offered. In addition, it is identical to the interface used for day-to-day operations (integrated into WinCC/PCS7 OS).
CoNet makes use of the Siemens Safety Matrix (Cause and Effect Diagram). The Safety Matrix, paired with Siemens Safety Engineering, generates a large part of all safety blocks, thus significantly reducing the number of errors.
Machine Guidelines
The importance of Machine Guidelines is often underestimated. In fact, Machines have to comply with the latest Machine Guidelines.
If requested, CoNet can conduct Risk Assessments & Evaluations (RI&E’s) on your machines. The results of an inspection are translated into recommendations for the modification of your machine and the control.
