It was time for ICL Fertilizers to upgrade their current analytic process tools and they chose a solution with Siematic IT Historian. CoNet was picked to realize this nice project and also took it upon them to update the system to the most recent Siematic PCS 7 version.
Historian is set of software functionalities with regard to Data Management, Plant Performance and Plant Information Management. It collects, validates and manipulates data, originating from a range of real-time and historical sources, in order to achieve better analytics and thus support decision making.
CoNet realized a solution based on the virtualization of the entire system in VM-Ware ESXi. A big advantage was the fact that outdated software expired, this significantly reduced maintenance and the risk of failure. That of course also reduces the cost of maintenance.
